Admissions season is short. Schools in Tamil Nadu need parents to find them, trust them and call. Meta ads (Instagram and Facebook) and Google Ads do different jobs, so it helps to know which one to use and when.
Google Ads: reach parents who are already looking
When a parent searches "CBSE school near me" or "best school in Tiruppur", they are ready to compare. Search ads and a complete Google Business Profile put your school in front of them at that moment.
Meta ads: reach parents before they search
Instagram and Facebook are good for showing campus life, teachers, results and events to parents in your area. They build familiarity before the admissions rush.
Ask for the enquiry in more than one way
Parents differ. Some want to call, some prefer WhatsApp and some will fill a form. Test all three with a small budget each and compare the cost of each enquiry. In our own tests for a school, phone calls gave the cheapest enquiries, but the result can differ for every school.
Follow up fast
An enquiry is only useful if someone replies quickly. Decide who answers calls and WhatsApp messages during admissions, and set a target time.
Keep the message honest
Show real classrooms, real teachers and real events. Avoid claims that you cannot prove.
Plan the calendar
Start posting a few weeks before admissions open, run ads while enquiries are open, and keep sharing events after. A simple calendar for the year helps you avoid rushing.
Questions, answered.
- Which is better for school admissions, Meta or Google Ads?
- Use Google Ads to reach parents who are searching now, and Meta ads to build familiarity before and during admissions. Test both and compare the cost of each enquiry.
- Should a school ask for calls, forms or WhatsApp enquiries?
- Test all three with small budgets. For one school we tested, phone calls were cheapest, but results vary by school and area.
- When should a school start advertising for admissions?
- A few weeks before admissions open, so parents already know the school when they start looking.
